AceUp is a coaching platform evolving toward an AI-first product. Our footprint spans a Ruby on Rails API, a React web app, React Native mobile apps, and Python services that power AceUp Ally, AllyCompanion, and AllyCoach — deployed continuously to Google Cloud, in both US and EU environments.

Quality today lives with the engineers who write the code: RSpec on the API, Jest on web and mobile, a Cypress suite for critical journeys, and Docker-based integration tests across Rails and our Python AI services. We are looking for our first dedicated QA Engineer to own that picture end to end: decide what deserves automated coverage, make the suites fast and trustworthy, and be the person who can say — with evidence — whether a release is safe to ship.

This is a hands-on, build-it role. You will write tests, wire them into CI, and shape how the whole team thinks about quality. You will grow ownership of test strategy, release confidence, and quality signals over time.





You will be the first person at AceUp whose whole job is knowing whether we can ship — and making that answer something the team can rely on.

The Tech Stack
- Web: React (webpack), Jest + React Testing Library, Cypress end-to-end suite with Mochawesome reporting
- API: Ruby on Rails 7.2 (Ruby 3.3), RSpec, FactoryBot, VCR/WebMock, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Mobile: React Native (iOS and Android), Jest
- AI services: Python / FastAPI with pytest — LLM-backed features and agentic flows
- Cross-service testing: Docker Compose integration suites (Rails ↔ FastAPI, Firestore emulator, MinIO / fake GCS)
- CI/CD and cloud: GitHub Actions, Docker, Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run), continuous deploys to staging and production
- Observability: Datadog, Sentry
- Process: Shortcut for delivery, spec-driven development with AI-assisted workflows
