The Role and Team

An impactful opportunity awaits as Medallia is hiring for a motivated Revenue Accountant to join the Revenue Accounting team within the Controllership, Assurance, and Operations (CAO) organization. The position will be responsible for reviewing revenue transactions and ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.



This position will need to interpret, present, and explain complex revenue accounting issues to various internal business partners and external auditors. Responsibilities
- Set-up and review customer contracts, billing schedules, and revenue schedules in accordance with Medallia’s revenue recognition policies and ASC 606.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue-related journal entries, unbilled and deferred reconciliations and prepare flux analyses.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation for complex contracts based ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Partner with cross functional team such as FP&A;, Billing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Deal Desk on non-standard arrangements, providing clear revenue guidance and document
