The Role and Team

Responsibilities:
- Set-up and review customer contracts, billing schedules, and revenue schedules in accordance with Medallia’s revenue recognition policies and ASC 606.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly revenue-related journal entries, unbilled and deferred reconciliations and prepare flux analyses.
- Prepare technical accounting memos and supporting documentation for complex contracts based ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Partner with cross functional team such as FP&A;, Billing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Deal Desk on non-standard arrangements, providing clear revenue guidance and documenting conclusions.




- Mentor and coach revenue analysts (Offshore) and drive consistency across the revenue function.
- Identify and leverage technology to automate and innovate internal processes, including systems and process improvements.
- Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Ensure all revenue activities comply with SOX controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness requirements.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2+ years experience in accounting in industry and/or public accounting with a focus on SaaS & software revenue recognition
- Demonstrated understanding of ASC 606 in relation to Saas business
- Demonstrated proficiency in NetSuite ARM(Advanced Revenue Management), SuiteBilling, and Microsoft Office
- Professional working proficiency in English, both oral and written
