Design Engineer (React · TypeScript · AI-Native)

Psynth builds the software psychologists use to write assessment reports. A neuropsych or forensic evaluation costs a clinician 8–12 hours of writing after the testing is done. We give most of that back — without ever letting the model originate a diagnostic conclusion or invent a number.

380+ clinicians across the US, Canada, and the UK pay us for this software. Real revenue, real users, no VC theater. Small team: three engineers, a QA specialist, an SRE, and the CEO.

We already have a working design system: React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Radix primitives, documented in Storybook. We need someone whose taste raises its ceiling, and who can carry that taste across our product, our motion work, and our marketing site.

What you'll own
~60% — Product UI. Take AI-assisted prototypes and design concepts to production React. Mobile-first, responsive, pixel-accurate, wired to real APIs, shipped end to end. Audit what exists, propose focused fixes, then go make them.
~25% — The design system. Ours is proficient, not finished.



You own its evolution: component API design on top of Radix primitives, Storybook documentation, adoption across the app, and the migration work that comes with it.
~15% — Motion and marketing surface. Animations for marketing collateral, plus building and maintaining our marketing site, which we're bringing in-house.

Where the architecture is going
Today we're a single React application. Over the next few years the design system has to survive being consumed by several independently deployed surfaces: our new marketing site (Astro, statically generated, consuming our React components as islands), the product itself, a desktop app (Electron or Tauri), and eventually mobile (React Native / Expo).

You don't need to have shipped all of that. But if you've thought hard about how one component library stays coherent across several runtimes, this job is a very goo
