Implementation Consultant II

Position Summary

The Implementation Consultant II will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing client project plans from project kickoff until the transition to either the Client Support or the Compliance Services teams. The Implementation Services team delivers onboarding, training, and other project-based services for clients utilizing Sovos’ products and/or service offerings.

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time with a high level of quality and client satisfaction, in addition to executing key configuration tasks.

Key Position Responsibilities

Act as primary point of contact during the implementation process for the client

Complete configuration tasks

Complete thorough Client Procedures or solution architecture documents which include all configuration details and any other necessary information to support the client on a go-forward basis
Continue service or support activities for clients after successful implementation as needed, especially during peak processing times
Develop and manage the project plan, project risks and actively resolve project related issues as they arise
Identify and implement improvements to processes, documents, tools, reports, etc. to benefit the new customer implementation process
Lead fast-paced work sessions with clients to come up with technology-based solutions to solve business problems
Perform a seamless, documented and thorough transition after implementation is complete
Prepare project plans for intermediate to complex assigned tasks, balancing commitments across multiple projects




Provide training as necessary to clients

Provide training, coaching and mentoring to teammates

Understand the client business logic and translate those requirements into technical specifications, develop the customizations, manage the configuration process and manage the testing process through sign-off
Work with various internal departments to ensure all tasks are completed in accordance to the project plan/ implementation methodology

Minimum Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, highly preferred

1. 3 years of service related work experience preferred

Established knowledge of Sovos product offerings in the relevant Product Market
Established knowledge of tax rules and processes in the relevant Product Market
Strong time management, organizational and decision making skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers
Comprehend and communicate complex concepts
Concentrate, analyze and resolve complex problems
Utilize technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements

Minimal travel required to Sovos locations or events
