About Rebill
Rebill.com is modern payment infrastructure purpose-built for digital businesses and global companies scaling in Latin America.
Through one API and a single contract, companies can process both domestic and cross-border payments, using the rails people truly rely on in LatAm: cards, installments, wallets, bank transfers, and cash. Our platform is designed for higher acceptance and real revenue, not just access.
For recurring businesses, Rebill also provides the most advanced subscription billing engine in the region, with automated recovery of failed payments, invoicing, and multi-currency settlement in USD or local currencies.
We stand out for execution, transparency, and real human support, helping companies scale across key markets without stitching together multiple providers.
Rebill is backed by leading global investors such as Tiger General, Y Combinator (W22), Soma Capital and SV Angel, and angels including Guillermo Rauch (Vercel) and Arash Ferdowsi (Dropbox).
About the role
This is the first seat we open alongside our Head of Customer Success & Support, and it comes with unusual room to shape how the function works.
There is an operation running today: merchant cases resolved every day, live relationships with acquirers and service providers in each market, recurring reports customers count on, and an automation layer that already handles part of the volume. It works, and so far it has been carried by one person. Which means everything you take on has weight from the first week, and very little of it has to go through anyone else first.
You are not inheriting written processes to execute. You are absorbing a live operation, learning it in depth, and then deciding what holds, what gets rebuilt and what stops being done by hand. If you have wanted to take an operation that already works and decide where it goes next, this is unusually direct access to that.
Why this role exists In payments, support is where a merchant finds out whether they chose well. A payment that will not go through, a subscription that quietly stops charging, a decline no one can explain: these are the conversations that decide whether an account grows or leaves,
and none of them are solved with a polite answer. They are solved by understanding what happened inside the transaction.
We serve hundreds of companies and move millions of dollars a month across six markets. That means multiple acquirer and service provider relationships, payment methods and local rules living in the same case queue. At that scale the function needs a second person with judgment of their own, not an extra pair of hands.
What you will own
- The merchant relationship . Resolving their cases end to end: refunds, balances, KYB verification, integrations and payment declines. With flawless written quality in Spanish and English, within the SLAs defined by customer tier.
- The acquirer and provider relationships . Escalating transactions, sustaining follow-up on settlements and refunds, and keeping the channels with each local partner alive. Much of what a merchant needs depends on someone on the other side answering.
- The investigation. Taking an ambiguous case, cross-referencing our data with the processor response and reaching root cause. Then explaining it plainly, to a merchant and to an acquirer, who do not need the same version.
- Approval rate analysis. Measuring rates and decline reasons by issuer, BIN and payment method, and producing the recurring reports. When a pattern shows up, documenting it with enough evidence that the acquirer cannot wave it away.
- Escalation to engineering. Raising bugs and improvements with full context and evidence, and following them through to closure. A case escalated without evidence comes back, and it comes back late.
- The automation layer. Operating and improving what already resolves cases without human intervention, and proposing what is missing. The goal is that serving merchants takes less manual work every week than the one before.
- Documentation .
Case patterns, help center articles and internal procedures. What is not written down gets solved from scratch every time.
What we are looking for
- 3+ years in support, operations or CX.
- At least 2 of those years at a PSP, acquirer or payment processor.** Chargebacks, settlement cycles and decline codes should already be familiar ground, so that your first weeks go into our merchants rather than into the fundamentals.
- English at C1 or above (Cambridge scale). A large share of our merchants and partners operate in English, and you will hold calls with corporate clients on your own.
- SQL. Most of the answers we need live in the data, and the people who can pull them themselves move considerably faster.
You should be comfortable writing your own queries against relational databases.
- Experience with a helpdesk platform.** Queue management, SLAs and case traceability.
- A bias toward automation.** At some point you took something that depended on a person remembering to do it and turned it into a process that runs on its own.
- AI tools as part of how you work.** Everyone at Rebill uses them daily, not only to write but to reason through edge cases, analyze data and move faster.
- Based in Buenos Aires** and able to work from our office.
Nice to have
- Portuguese at a conversational level, enough to run a support or commercial conversation with a Brazilian merchant in their own language.
What we offer
- A compensation package matching the seniority the seat requires.
- Direct access to the people making the calls, with no layers in between.
- Fully equipped office in Buenos Aires, hybrid with a minimum of two days per week on site.
The onboarding period is fully on site.
How we hire An intro conversation, a technical assignment based on a real case from our own operation, and a final conversation. We will tell you what we are actually dealing with, including the parts that are still open.
We expect the same candour back.
