About the Role

We are looking for an experienced full-time Backend Software Engineer to join our product team. In this role, you will lead and be responsible for the maintenance, support, and development of the product’s backend and its associated platform (Node.js, TypeScript, AdonisJS). This includes designing and improving infrastructure, deployments, and integrations, as well as developing new features.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the backend architecture, from design through deployment.
- Maintenance and support of the current product platform.
- Improvements in terms of system stability, scalability, and observability.
- Implementation of secure, observable, and debuggable services.
- Design and maintenance of REST APIs—DTOs, request validation, error handling, etc.
- Improvements in terms of stability, scalability, and observability of the SAST and DAST engines.

Requirements

- Professional experience in developing and deploying backend services.
- Professional experience with PostgreSQL + Lucid ORM—migrations, relationships,



query builder, seeders (4+ years).
- Experience with Node.js & TypeScript (3+ years).
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization systems (3+ years).
- Server-side MVC architecture (3+ years).
- Verifiable professional experience with cloud platforms, S3, Docker containers, and CI/CD (2+ years).
- Knowledge of and prior exposure to Redis—caching and real-time pub/sub (1+ year).
- Knowledge of and prior exposure to message queuing services (1+ year).
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment using an agile (Scrum) approach.

Desirable

- Knowledge of mobile cybersecurity (Android/iOS).
- Nginx—reverse proxy, SSL termination, security headers.
- GitHub Actions.
- Testing with Japa (unit and functional tests).
- Basic knowledge of Next.js and React.
- Knowledge of Python.
