Role and Company Overview:

This position is with a U.S.-based company in the digital events and professional development space. They produce large-scale industry summits and content for marketing professionals nationwide.

The Social

Video & Community Manager will transform existing content into a consistent stream of engaging, on-brand social media — mining event recordings, interviews, and presentations for high-value moments and repurposing them into short-form videos, carousels, and multimedia assets across LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Meta platforms.

A secondary focus is routine community management: responding in brand voice and escalating anything sensitive to leadership.

Responsibilities:

- Review event recordings, interviews, presentations, articles, audio, and user-generated content for social media opportunities
- Repurpose long-form material into short videos, carousels, summaries, captions, and other multimedia assets
- Produce educational and human-centered content alongside event announcements, speaker highlights, deadlines, and ticket promotions
- Execute the editorial calendar and schedule content through approved publishing tools
- Adapt messaging and creative formats for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Instagram, and potential future channels
- Ensure content is accurate, visually polished, useful, and consistent with brand standards
- Monitor comments, mentions, tags, and relevant audience conversations
- Respond to routine interactions in brand voice and escalate sensitive or complex matters




- Use AI-assisted workflows to increase output while independently reviewing all content for quality and accuracy
- Track publishing consistency, engagement, audience growth, and agreed-upon performance measures
- Use performance data to improve content selection, formatting, timing, and distribution

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in social media management, content marketing, video production, or a related role
- Portfolio demonstrating social media content, short-form video, or multimedia work created for a brand
- Experience repurposing videos, presentations, audio, or articles into social content
- Strong knowledge of LinkedIn and at least one additional platform (YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook)
- Working knowledge of short-form video editing, captioning, formatting, and publishing
- Excellent written English, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong judgment regarding brand voice, audience needs, accuracy, and community interactions
- Experience with social scheduling or publishing platforms
- Ability to use generative AI effectively while evaluating and improving its output
- Strong organization and initiative — able to manage both evergreen and deadline-driven work independently
- Availability to work US Eastern Time business hours

Nice-to-Haves:

- Experience in events, education, media, professional development, or marketing-industry brands
- Experience repurposing conference sessions, webinars, interviews, or podcasts
- Background in brand community management, moderation, or escalation procedures
- Experience building brand-specific AI workflows or reusable content systems
- Basic graphic design or motion graphics skills
- Awareness of current social trends, platform changes, and emerging formats

Software and Tools Used: VideoSpan, Canva, HubSpot, LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram), Claude or similar AI tools, TikTok (potential future)
