Role Description As a Generative AI Engineer at Cuartel AI, you will design, build, and optimize custom AI agents and workflows for a variety of business use cases. You will work in a full-time, remote capacity, collaborating with product, operations, and client-facing teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include experimenting with state-of-the-art generative models, integrating them into production systems, and iterating on prompts, architectures, and pipelines to improve reliability and performance. You will conduct technical research, evaluate tools and frameworks, implement APIs and microservices, and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable. You will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal platforms and best practices.

Qualifications





- Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for AI and backend development (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with modern generative AI models and ecosystems (e.g., LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and model evaluation).
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment practices.
- Experience building and integrating APIs, microservices, or workflows into production environments using cloud platforms or modern DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with automation and workflow orchestration tools, and an interest in optimizing business processes with AI agents.
- Ability to analyze client requirements, document technical solutions, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced environment with self-directed problem solving and collaborative teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, consulting, or building AI solutions for operational efficiency is a plus.
