Job Title
We are looking for a professional with a strong focus on the implementation, integration, and commissioning of industrial automation systems, capable of acting as a technical lead throughout all project phases, from conceptual and detailed engineering through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up.
The candidate must have proven experience in the integration of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and SIS systems, as well as in coordinating interfaces between plant control systems and third-party package equipment. The role will be responsible for ensuring safe, robust, and efficient automation system integration, actively participating in technical reviews, functional testing, interface validation, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
Experience in large-scale mining projects will be highly valued, along with the ability to interact with clients, system integrators, vendors, and international multidisciplinary teams. Availability for travel associated with FAT, SAT, integration testing, commissioning, and on-site support is also required.
Principal Responsibilities:
Lead Basic Engineering, FEED, and Detailed Engineering development for Instrumentation and Control systems in mining, lithium, Oil & Gas, power generation, and industrial plant projects.
Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, including:
Loop Diagrams
Instrument Index and I/O Lists
Instrument Data Sheets
Technical Specifications and Design Criteria
Wiring, Termination, and Control Architecture Diagrams
Control Philosophies and Interface Documents
Develop and review automation architectures, industrial telecommunications systems, and control networks based on PLC, DCS, SCADA,
and SIS technologies.
Technically manage the integration between plant control systems and Package Units, including:
Definition of interface responsibilities
Hardwired and network-based signal exchanges
Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and equivalent protocols
Cause & Effect and interlock reviews between systems
Coordinate Package Unit vendors to ensure compliance with automation, cybersecurity, and operational interface requirements.
Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Integrated FAT (IFAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Start-Up activities.
Participate in multidisciplinary technical reviews, HAZOPs, SIL Reviews, Design Reviews, and Model Reviews.
Support the preparation of RFQs, TBEs, technical evaluations, and vendor selection processes for instrumentation and control systems.
Provide technical support during construction, installation, functional testing, energization, and commissioning activities.
Maintain effective technical communication with clients, system integrators, and international vendors in English.
Availability for domestic and international travel related to FAT, SAT, integration testing, commissioning, and site support activities.

What you will bring
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum 10 years of experience in similar positions within engineering consulting firms, EPC contractors, or process industries.
Fluent English, both written and spoken (advanced level), with the ability to participate in technical meetings and prepare bilingual documentation.
Strong knowledge of applicable standards and codes, including ISA, IEC, API, ANSI,
NEC, and NFPA.
Experience in the selection and specification of instrumentation, control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA), and industrial communication architectures.
Software Skills
AutoCAD 2D
Desirable: SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), AVEVA Instrumentation, or EPLAN
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
Navisworks knowledge for 3D model reviews
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in international projects executed under corporate engineering standards.
Strong technical leadership capabilities.
Participation in commissioning, FAT/SAT, field testing, and start-up activities.
Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and SIL methodologies.
ISA certifications or equivalent credentials (desirable).

Work Location
