Total Number of Openings 1 Provides management and coordination expertise for Corporate Affairs strategies. Provides generalist support to deliver a wide range of products and services across multiple areas within the Corporate Affairs function.
The position requires a seasoned professional, preferably with experience in the O&G; Industry, with strong experience on Government Affairs, but also with some experience in Communications and Social Investment projects.
The position will provide support to the Corporate Affairs manager in: Support on the design of the Corporate Affairs strategy at a local level in Argentina, that will include: Development and execution of specific Stakeholder engagement plans, including Stakeholder mapping monitoring and follow up on legislative agendas at municipal, state, and federal levels.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Monitor and follow up legislative agendas at municipal, state, and federal levels.
- Assess and prioritize advocacy efforts on Legislative issues.
- Support implementation of stakeholders, issues and regulatory plans and strategies with municipal, provincial and federal authorities as coordinated with the Corporate Affairs Manager.
- Support relationship and reputation building activities in the province and represent Chevron with key stakeholders: government, legislature, media, NOGs, industry institutions, etc.
- Regularly engage community leaders in the province like Rincon and Añelo mayors, among others.
- Support the company´s reputation and social license building activities with key stakeholders.
- Support implementation of social investments projects in the province as required.
- Work with local issues lead to ensure business priorities and stakeholder information is reflected and up to date.
- Ensure alignment with Stakeholder Engagement Plans in managing issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, Communications, Law or related fields.
- +10 years of experience in similar roles.
- Ability to travel to Neuquen on a periodic basis.
- Proven relationship building and communication skills.
- Ability to represent Chevron at provincial industry institutions and events.
- Ability to act as Chevron´s spokesperson for local matters, as required and coordinated by the Argentina Manager Corporate Affairs.
- Proficiency in English written and spoken is mandatory for the role.
- Oil and Gas experience would be a plus.
Relocation Options: Relocation will not be considered.
International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
