E-Commerce Account Manager (Shopify) — LATAM
Part-Time (20 hrs/week) · Remote / LATAM
About Rad Hires
Rad Hires connects high-performing talent with ambitious teams that move fast and build things that matter. We partner with lean, client-driven organizations to find people who own outcomes, raise the bar, and make a real difference — not just fill a seat.
About the Company
Our client is a Shopify development and growth agency working with DTC and B2B brands. They don't just build websites — they drive commercial outcomes for the brands they work with, across site strategy, client relationships, and execution.
About the Role
This role is being created to take over the day-to-day client relationship work currently handled directly by the agency's founder. Despite the "Account Manager" title, this is not a generalist relationship-management role — it requires genuinely deep, hands-on Shopify knowledge. You'll be the client's main point of contact: reviewing their Shopify site, spotting real technical and merchandising opportunities, troubleshooting issues that come in, and turning all of that into clear, well-scoped tasks for the development team. You'll implement anything that doesn't require code yourself. Think of it as a technical Shopify lead who also owns the account relationship and project management — not a non-technical liaison passing messages along.
Fluent, professional English is equally non-negotiable — you'll run client calls independently on a regular basis, so this isn't a fit for someone whose English is conversational but not fully fluent in a business context.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts, via calls and written communication.
- Review client Shopify sites in depth and proactively identify and propose improvements (site structure, merchandising, UX, conversion, general technical health).
- Diagnose client-reported issues and translate them into clear,
accurately-scoped tasks/tickets for the developer to implement.
- Handle any non-coding implementation directly (theme settings, app configuration, content, merchandising, etc.).
- Manage the day-to-day project flow between client requests and developer execution.
- Build trust with clients as a knowledgeable, technically credible point of contact — effectively standing in for the agency owner.
What We Look For
Must-Have:
- Deep, hands-on Shopify knowledge — genuinely fluent in the platform (admin, theme structure, apps, troubleshooting), not surface-level exposure. Experience must be specifically on Shopify, not primarily Magento or other platforms.
- Fluent, professional-level written and spoken English — able to run client calls independently, with no notable fluency gaps. This is a hard requirement, equal in weight to Shopify depth.
- Prior experience in a client-facing e-commerce/Shopify role — ideally for a U.S.-based company, agency, or e-commerce brand, where English was used daily on the job (not just studied or used internally).
- Strong project management instincts: able to take an unstructured client request and turn it into a clear, accurate task for a developer.
- Available for a part-time engagement (~20 hrs/week); open to freelancers with adaptable availability or those adding hours onto another part-time role.
Nice-to-Have:
- Direct experience working as an e-commerce/account manager for a U.S. Shopify brand or agency.
- Familiarity with common Shopify ecosystem apps (reviews, loyalty, email/SMS) enough to advise on them.
This Role Is Not For:
- Pure account managers or client-success people without real hands-on Shopify depth.
- Developers looking for a hands-on coding role — this isn't a build position.
- Candidates whose English is conversational but not fluent enough for unsupervised client calls.
- Candidates whose e-commerce platform experience is mainly Magento or other non-Shopify platforms.
Logistics
- Engagement: Part-time, ~20 hours/week
- Location: Remote / LATAM
- Compensation: Competitive pay in USD
