We’re a fast-growing e-commerce company looking for an experienced Direct Response Video Editor to join our creative team.

This role is focused on editing 2-3 minute story-driven ads, VSL-style creatives, UGC advertisements, testimonial videos, and longer-form direct-response ads for platforms such as Meta and TikTok.

We are not looking for someone who only knows how to make videos look visually nice.

We’re looking for an editor who understands storytelling, pacing, retention, emotional buildup, hooks, pattern interrupts, and how video editing contributes to making an ad convert.

What you'll be editing

Most creatives will be between 1-3+ minutes, including:
- Story-based advertisements
- VSL-style ads
- UGC direct-response ads
- Customer testimonial creatives
- Problem → solution advertisements
- Founder/storytelling-style ads
- Longer paid social creatives
- Different hooks and variations of winning ads

You’ll usually receive a script, voiceover, raw footage, UGC clips, product footage, and creative references.





Your job is to turn those assets into a compelling advertisement that keeps people watching.

What we're looking for

You should already understand the fundamentals of direct-response and e-commerce advertising.

You should be comfortable with:
- Editing 2-3 minute ads without losing viewer attention
- Building a strong hook in the first few seconds
- Storytelling and emotional pacing
- Matching visuals closely to the voiceover
- Knowing when to change footage to maintain retention
- Using captions, text overlays, music and sound effects naturally
- Finding relevant supporting footage and B-roll
- Creating pattern interrupts without making the edit feel chaotic
- Editing UGC footage so it still feels authentic
- Creating multiple hook and creative variations
- Following references while still making good creative decisions yourself

Experience with Meta ads, DTC brands, VSLs, or performance marketing creatives is strongly preferred.
