Finance Assistant / Accounts AssistantRole Description
We are seeking a reliable, structured, and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to support the daily transactional operations of our finance department. In this entry-to-junior administrative role, you will play an essential part in processing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining organized records, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows across the finance team. Working under the supervision of Accountants, Accounts Executives, and Finance Managers, you will handle data entry into the accounting ledger, assist with client invoicing, match vendor bills against purchase orders, and audit routine staff expense claims. Responsibilities include recording incoming and outgoing payments, filing digital financial records, following up on routine payment queries, and assisting with simple bank reconciliations and end-of-month administrative prep. Success in this position requires high numerical accuracy, basic knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency with spreadsheets, strong organizational habits,



and a high level of discretion when handling confidential business financial data.
Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent introductory bookkeeping coursework).
Basic Bookkeeping Principles: Foundational understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, double-entry bookkeeping basics, general ledger coding, and accounts payable/receivable workflows.
Accounting Software Familiarity: Exposure to or hands-on basic experience with cloud accounting platforms or desktop ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP, or local accounting tools).
Data Entry & High Numerical Accuracy: Fast, precise data entry skills with high attention to numerical detail to avoid transcription errors in ledgers, invoices, and expense logs.
Spreadsheet & Office Tools: Practical working proficiency with Microsoft Exc
