As an Experienced Associate Data Protection in the Cyber, Data & Tech Risk network within our Office of General Counsel (OGC) practice, you will specialize in providing advice and guidance to clients on privacy laws and data protection regulations. You will help businesses navigate the complex landscape of privacy and data protection requirements, confirming compliance with applicable laws and regulations, assisting in developing privacy policies, conducting privacy impact assessments, and implementing data protection measures to safeguard personal information.




Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing optimization of data protection technologies and solutions (e.g., data classification, encryption, Data Loss Prevention such as Microsoft Purview Information Protection) across cloud, SaaS, and on‑premises environments.
- Implementing and supporting data discovery, classification, and risk analysis using DSPM and data security platforms (e.g., Cyera, Varonis), including cloud data visibility, access governance, and identification of sensitive data exposure.
- Contributing to incident response and data protection governance activities, supporting data breach assessments, collaborating with legal/privacy/security teams, and assessing and mitigating data protection risks arising from GenAI developer tools.
