Development Economist (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for development economists to help shape how AI understands global economics. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy, depth, and nuance of AI systems trained on some of the world's most complex economic topics — from poverty and inequality to growth policy and international development.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that lets you contribute meaningful work on your own schedule.

- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated development economics questions, answers, and explanations for accuracy and depth
- Assess economic reasoning related to growth theory, inequality, poverty, and global development
- Provide structured, critical feedback to improve the quality and contextual nuance of AI outputs
- Apply your real-world or academic experience to validate complex economic scenarios
- Work independently and asynchronously to complete task-based assignments on your own schedule





Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience teaching, researching, or practicing development economics
- Strong command of general economic issues, development frameworks, and data interpretation
- Able to critically evaluate written economic reasoning with clarity and precision
- Comfortable working with structured review tasks and following detailed guidelines
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics or a related field
- Field experience, NGO work, or international economic policy background
- Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
