I am looking for a video editor to join a very fast-growing ecommerce brand in fashion & apparel niche.

Your purpose:

Increase our profitable ad spend; level up our production of winning video creatives.

Core functions:
- edit direct response ads for Meta ads
- turn scripts, UGC & raw footage into scroll-stopping creatives
- own the pipeline from brief -> final cut
- iterate fast based on ad performance data
- use state of the art AI tech to increase your leverage continuously

$1.5-2k/month base + profit based bonuses

Qualifications
- Proven experience editing direct response ads for Meta & TikTok, with an understanding of how editing decisions directly impact hook rate, hold rate, and CTR.
- Deep knowledge of DR ad structure: hooks, pattern interrupts, pacing for retention, benefit stacking, social proof placement, and CTA timing — and the ability to edit each section with intent.
- Ability to cut hooks that stop the scroll in the first 1-3 seconds,



and produce multiple hook variations from the same base creative for testing.
- Actively studies winning ads: comfortable using ad libraries (Meta Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center, Foreplay etc.) to research trends, deconstruct top performers, and apply those patterns to their own edits.
- Understands native platform style — can make ads feel organic (UGC-style, trend-led, lo-fi where needed) rather than polished brand content that screams "ad."
- Comfortable reading performance data (hook rate, hold rate, ROAS) and iterating edits based on what the numbers say, not just what looks good.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut and After Effects (or equivalent), with strong sound design instincts — trending audio, SFX and captions that boost retention.
- Self-managing in a remote setting: can take a script or brief and own it from raw footage to tested variations without hand-holding.
- Portfolio must include performance ads with results
