The Alimentaris Foundation launched a call for proposals to support research projects and territorial experiences in agroecology and food with an impact on Argentine Patagonia.

Agroecology is a paradigm that promotes the design and management of economically viable, socially just, and environmentally sustainable agricultural production, harvesting, fishing, processing, marketing, consumption, and communal food systems,



characterized by greater socio-ecological resilience and oriented toward strengthening the well-being of all of society (Source: National Directorate of Agroecology, 2022). In a context where access to healthy, safe, and culturally relevant food is increasingly difficult, and where ecosystems face processes of alteration and degradation, this call for proposals advocates for agroecology as a framework and tool for building resilient and sustainable food systems.

Aim
Promote research projects and territorial experiences in agroecology and food in the Patagonia region (Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands), according to the definition of the Patagonia Region of INDEC (INDEC 2024).
