We are looking for Spanish <> English telephonic interpreters with experience in medical settings to support Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) or Video Remote Interpreting (VRI). The role involves facilitating real-time communication between healthcare providers and patients.

Responsibilities:

- Provide consecutive interpretation (Spanish <> English) over the phone or video remote (professional background is required - just white/neutral background, with face properly lit is acceptable)
- Handle a range of medical-related calls (appointments, consultations, behavioral health, etc.)
- Accurately convey meaning, tone, and intent
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Implement call protocols at the beginning and at the end of the calls (to be trained on)
- Be ready to receive calls from the beginning of the shift up until the end

Requisitos

Requirements:





- Fluency in Spanish and English (native in Spanish and native or near-native level in English)
- Medical interpreting experience required (OPI preferred)
- Strong command of medical terminology in both languages
- Ability to work in fast-paced and sensitive environments
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace

Preferred (Not Required):

- 40-hour medical interpreter training (e.g., Bridging the Gap or equivalent)
- Interpreter certifications (CCHI, NBCMI, or similar)

Technical Setup:

- Computer (no mobile-only proper video remote setups)
- Stable internet connection
- Headset with microphone
