Linux System Administrator L3

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator (L3) with strong experience managing enterprise Linux environments across heterogeneous infrastructures. This role will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, automating, and improving the reliability and performance of mission-critical Linux systems, primarily based on SUSE and Oracle Linux, within a global and cloud-integrated environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Linux operations, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and familiarity with AWS and automation tools.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Linux environments (SUSE Linux, Oracle Linux, and RedHat).

Provide advanced L3 support, troubleshooting complex system, performance, and infrastructure issues.

Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle of Linux servers.

Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and procedures.

Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and system recovery.

Work in a multinational environment collaborating with global teams.

Automate operational tasks using scripting and automation tools.

Manage Linux systems running in on-premises and AWS cloud environments.

Ensure system reliability, security, and performance optimization.

Required Skills and Experience

Linux Administration

Minimum 10 years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments.





Strong experience with

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)

Oracle Linux

RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Experience managing heterogeneous Linux infrastructures.

Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments.

Cloud & Infrastructure

Experience working with AWS cloud environments.

Experience supporting Linux systems hosted in cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

Automation & Tools

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible (desirable).

Experience with scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

Patch Management & System Maintenance

Experience managing Linux patching and updates.

Experience with SUSE Manager is desirable.

Understanding of OS lifecycle and upgrade processes.

Enterprise Environment Experience

Experience working in large-scale, multinational environments.

Experience documenting procedures and creating runbooks.

Ability to work independently at L3 support level.

Soft Skills

Language

English level: Minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate)

Nice to Have

Experience with VMware or virtualized environments.
