Job Title: Aide - Creative Explorers Daycare

Reports to: Program Director

Deparment/Campus: Assigned Campus

Primary Purpose: Direct and support the learning experiences of students participating in the program.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
- CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to get certified within?30 days?of being hired?

Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to read and verbally communicate with children, staff, and parents
- Ability to work with groups of children in a positive manner
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Ability to relate to children and adults with courtesy, respect, acceptance, compassion, and patience

Experience:
- Pre-Service Training Certificate or documented?childcare?experience?

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan and supervise a 30-minute homework period and snack time.




- Use effective teaching strategies to address different learning styles and individual student needs
- Implement classroom management strategies and enforce the school discipline plan.
- Know and comply with DFPS minimum standards and all state/district regulations.
- Maintain a respectful and positive environment that supports student growth and cooperation.
- Keep accurate student records, including attendance, discipline, and academic information.
- Supervise students closely, knowing each child’s name, age, abilities, and location at all times.
- Follow state sanitation guidelines, including child hygiene and facility cleaning.
- Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of program equipment.

Other
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Display tolerance necessary for accepting supervision for and criticism of job performance.
