Position Summary
Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' mobility, strength,
balance, and overall functional independence.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing physical therapy treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and other prescribed interventions.
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Accurately document treatment sessions and resident responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and outcomes.
- Educate residents and family members on exercises and mobility techniques as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment.
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of California.
- Graduate of an accredited
