About the Role

Kopius is seeking Senior Systems Engineers / DevOps professionals to join our team on a long-term engagement supporting a leading general technology company. This role focuses on Systems Engineering, DevOps, and SRE work across production infrastructure — including CDN, edge, container orchestration, and cloud platforms.

This is a senior, hands-on role for engineers who thrive in production environments — designing and maintaining automation, resolving incidents, participating in on-call rotations, and ensuring reliability, performance, and security at scale. You will work directly with client engineering teams operating on U.S. Pacific Time.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain
Akamai Cloudlets
policies — including Edge Redirector, Forward Rewrite, and Policy Manager
- Support and operate




Kubernetes
clusters and containerized workloads in production
- Build and maintain infrastructure on
AWS
— including compute, networking, storage, and security services
- Develop advanced
Python automation
for infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and operational tooling
- Manage and improve CDN and WAF infrastructure, edge configurations, and traffic routing
- Provide production support and incident management — root cause analysis, remediation, and post-incident documentation
- Participate in
SRE on-call rotations
and drive reliability, observability, and performance improvements
- Partner with development teams on deployment strategies, release processes, and platform-level enhancements
- Champion security, compliance, and operational best practices across infrastructure and pipelines
