Position Summary
The Data Engineer, Business Analytics is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and
business intelligence initiatives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technology partners to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and
actionable. The adecuado candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen to build reliable data pipelines, optimize data architecture, and enable data-driven
decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and workflows that support reporting and analytics needs.
- Build and optimize data models, data warehouses, and data marts to ensure efficient access to business-critical information.
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources while maintaining data quality, consistency, and governance standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data processes to ensure reliability, performance, and availability.
Data Management & Quality
- Develop and implement data validation, cleansing, and quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting data.
- Establish and maintain data definitions, business rules, and documentation to support consistent reporting across the organization.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, root causes, and process gaps affecting business intelligence outputs.
- Support data governance initiatives by promoting best practices for data management, security, and compliance.
Business Intelligence & Analytics Support
- Partner with Business Analytics teams to deliver datasets, reporting solutions, and data structures that support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Optimize data availability and performance for dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools.
Support ad hoc data requests, analysis, and reporting initiatives as needed.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data engineering efficiencies.
- Evaluate and implement enhancements to data architecture, tools, and processes to support organizational growth.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, data engineering practices, and business intelligence trends.
- Contribute to the development of scalable and sustainable analytics infrastructure.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, business intelligence, or related disciplines.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience developing complex queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data modeling, database design,
and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Preferred
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar analytics technologies.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages used for data processing and automation.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting and business analytics functions.
