Our client is a large global, matrixed organisation looking to recruit a Payroll Operations Partner to support payroll operations across the US and Canada.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global payroll function, working closely with internal stakeholders and an outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate, compliant and efficient payroll delivery across the region.

Responsibilities

- Oversee end-to-end outsourced payroll operations across the US and Canada.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the outsourced payroll vendor, ensuring service levels are met and managing escalations where required.
- Oversee payroll governance, risk management and operational compliance across the region.
- Review payroll inputs, validations, reconciliations, variances and payroll outputs to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure payroll activities are completed in line with payroll cut-offs and agreed timelines.
- Lead payroll review meetings, governance calls and operational discussions with internal stakeholders and the outsourced vendor.
- Monitor compliance with US and Canadian statutory requirements, tax legislation and payroll regulations.
- Support internal and external payroll audits, ensuring documentation and evidence is available where required.




- Manage complex payroll issues and identify practical solutions while maintaining appropriate controls.
- Contribute to payroll process improvements, standardisation, documentation and operational best practice.
- Support payroll projects, including vendor transitions, payroll implementations and process enhancements.

Requirements

- Experience managing or overseeing US and Canada payroll within a multinational organisation.
- Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider or payroll vendor.
- Strong understanding of US and Canadian payroll legislation, statutory requirements and tax.
- Experience reviewing payroll reconciliations, payroll data and variance analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working across multiple countries, cultures and time zones.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Experience working within a integral, matrixed organisation is highly desirable.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
