Job Description

i-Call International is looking for fluent Spanish to English Interpreters to work remotely as consecutive medical interpreters.

As a medical interpreter, you will facilitate accurate and professional communication between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other healthcare-related information.
- Facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers.
- Provide cultural mediation when necessary to help patients understand the healthcare system and healthcare providers understand relevant cultural differences.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and follow professional and ethical interpretation standards.




- Document interpretation services when required, including date, time, duration, and type of interpretation.
- Stay up to date with medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Handle both OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) calls professionally.

Requirements
- Fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in medical interpretation or translation is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare systems.
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Comfortable handling confidential medical conversations.
- Professional and quiet workspace suitable for interpretation services.

Technical Requirements
- Minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speed.
- USB headset is compulsory.
- PC/laptop: 5th generation or higher processor with at least 8 GB RAM.
- Reliable LAN/Ethernet connection.
- HD webcam.
