Remitee is scaling its cross-border payments platform across key markets in LATAM/USA/EU.

We are looking for a
Compliance Specialist
to join our Compliance team, with a focus on Due Diligence processes for business partners, banking relationships, and other third parties. In this role, you will help protect Remitee's operations against risks, making sure every partner and counterparty we work with meets our compliance and regulatory standards before and throughout the relationship. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on due diligence experience in fintech or financial services who wants to grow within a fast-scaling, cross-border payments company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence (KYB) and enhanced due diligence on business partners, banks, and other counterparties prior to onboarding and throughout the relationship.
- Collect, review, and validate corporate documentation, ownership structures, beneficial owners, and licensing information.
- Screen partners, shareholders, and key management against sanctions lists, PEP databases,



and adverse media sources.
- Assess and assign risk ratings to partners in line with Remitee's AML/CTF policies, and recommend mitigation measures when needed.
- Prepare and maintain due diligence files, questionnaires (including correspondent banking-type questionnaires), and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Coordinate periodic due diligence updates and renewals, tracking documentation expiration and compliance milestones.
- Partner closely with Legal, Risk, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure due diligence findings are properly documented and communicated.
- Stay current on AML/CTF regulations and industry best practices, applying them to daily due diligence activities.

What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in due diligence, KYC/KYB, or AML compliance roles, ideally within fintech, banking, or financial services.
