- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures in accordance with international regulations and standards.
- Monitor and report on the company's environmental performance, including waste management, energy consumption, and emissions.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to crew members on environmental best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement sustainable practices and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on environmental regulations and industry trends to ensure the company's compliance and continuous improvement.
- Investigate and resolve any environmental incidents or concerns that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the company's environmental performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, or related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the marine industry.
- Knowledge of international environmental regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental management software.
- Willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
