Job Description
We are seeking an experienced scheduling migration specialist to support large‑scale migrations to IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS / IWS). This role serves as a subject matter expert in batch scheduling conversion across development, test, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support migration of batch scheduling workloads to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
- Analyze legacy scheduling definitions from CA-7, CA ESP, Jobtrac, BMC Control-M, and ASG Zeke/Zebb and map them to IBM scheduler structures.
- Execute parallel tracking, schedule validation,
dependency analysis, and issue resolution.
- Monitor workload execution using TSO/ISPF and IBM scheduler interfaces.
- Provide technical guidance and training to scheduling teams and operational staff.
Mandatory Skills And Experience
- Strong mainframe background in OS/390 or z/OS environments.
- Deep hands‑on experience with IBM Z Workload Scheduler (IZWS / IWS).
- Hands‑on migration experience from Non‑IBM / ISV scheduling platforms such as CA-7, CA ESP, CA Workload Automation ESP, Jobtrac, BMC Control‑M, or ASG Zeke/Zebb to IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
- Strong TSO/ISPF editing skills and expert‑level understanding of JCL.
- Experience with dependency analysis, schedule validation, report review, and iterative parallel tracking cycles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical collaboration and customer‑facing work.
