Special Projects Engineer, Machine Vision & Sports Analytics

Special Projects Engineer — Contract-to-Hire, engaged via TLA Studios on behalf of client Goalkeeper.com.
You'll work directly with Goalkeeper.com on machine vision systems and sports datasets deployed in live professional football arena environments — camera feeds, skeletal and pose datasets, and model outputs, turned into structured, actionable performance data using real machine vision algorithms.

You'll report through TLA Studios but work nearly full-time, embedded directly with the client's team — a good fit if you want client-facing engineering experience alongside a small, senior internal group, working daily in English with a team based in the U.S. Open to candidates anywhere in Argentina; TLA Studios' teams are based in Buenos Aires, Rosario, and Tres Ríos.

What you'll work on
- Machine vision pipelines for real-time and post-hoc analysis of athlete movement — camera calibration,



multi-view geometry, SLAM-based localization, optical flow, and object tracking, in live arena environments
- Skeletal and pose-estimation datasets (OpenPose, MediaPipe, motion-capture-derived data), including keypoint detection, temporal smoothing, and trajectory estimation, for biomechanical and performance analytics
- Training, evaluating, and deploying ML models for multi-object tracking (MOT), re-identification (Re-ID), classification, and pose/motion analysis — CNN-based architectures and modern object detectors included
- Core machine vision algorithms — SLAM, structure from motion (SfM), homography and epipolar geometry, 3D reconstruction and triangulation, and sensor fusion (Kalman filtering) — turning multi-camera footage into structured spatial data
- Cloud data pipelines for ingesting, storing, and processing large video and sensor datasets (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Model compression for loc
