The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the advanced technical design and documentation of HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and/or fire protection systems across the company’s project portfolio. The position applies substantial technical judgment to develop code-compliant, efficient, and high-quality engineering solutions from concept through construction documents.

This role serves as a technical resource for assigned projects, performs independent design and quality-control activities, and supports the consistent application of company engineering standards.

Position Responsibilities
- Perform advanced design of HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems, including heating and cooling loads, ventilation calculations, and energy/economic analysis.
- Select, size, and specify mechanical equipment and lay out mechanical rooms, accounting for constructability, access, and serviceability.
- Develop production documents in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Prepare and review calculations, control sequences, system diagrams, schedules, details, and technical specifications.
- Apply applicable building,



mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and energy codes and standards to project designs.
- Conduct independent QA/QC reviews of mechanical designs and verify adherence to company technical standards.
- Track assigned discipline hours and identify potential scope changes early to maintain alignment with project budgets and deliverables.
- Identify and recommend process improvements that increase technical quality and project efficiency.

Technical Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive MEP design experience, including HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, or institutional projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with load simulation software such as EnergyPro, Trane TRACE, or Carrier HAP preferred.
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam and applicable California or Ore
