Demand Planner is responsible for managing and balancing the flow of information upside and goods downside the chain through demand forecast in IBP taking advantage of the best statistical models and enriching forecast over collaborative work with commercial and marketing teams to understand customer demand, trends, patterns and events such as tenders, new product launches, phase in/phase out among others, with finance to align budget, to measure and valuing risks and opportunities for the market and the chain, with regulatory teams to integrate any risk or opportunity into forecast; and with local, regional and global SC streamlining the chain in terms of reaction, capacity and requirements.
Considering South Region is a tender driven market, demand planner must work close with the commercial team building what-if scenarios which support market, regional and global decisions and managing forecast event/tender tool to provide the most accurate scenario to the chain supported by demand review and S&OP; processes,
moreover It’s very important work as a business partner of the business understanding, participating and challenging all opportunities coming to be assed properly.
DP is also responsible for monitoring and improving KPIs such as forecast accuracy, BIAS, inventory level (DSOH/inventory value), service level (BO/DIFOT) and variability between demand forecast and finance forecast.
Besides DP leads S&OP; process, acting as a bridge between local teams (Marketing, finance, sales and operations) and general supply chain to ensure alignment on demand expectations, risk and opportunities and supply capabilities.

- Integrate statistical forecasting with local market knowledge to enrich demand planning, accounting for deviations from statical models and ensuring that statistical forecasts are only adjusted when it happens to be accuracy increase.
