We're a fast-growing US pet products brand selling direct-to-consumer and wholesale to retailers in the USA and around the world. We manufacture overseas and move inventory through a multi-stage supply chain: factory production → international freight (air and sea) → US warehouse → customers.
We are an AI-native company. Our entire back office runs on an internal data platform we built ourselves: a Postgres warehouse, ETL pipelines from Shopify/ShipHero/QuickBooks/Faire, and hundreds of purpose-built tools on a custom MCP server that our team drives through Claude Code. The MCP can query our data, reconcile our books, plan production, and build dashboards. You won't be fighting spreadsheets; you'll be directing an AI agent with deep access to every system we have.
The Role
You will own inventory planning and management end-to-end. This is an analytical role with large implications on our business. Our systems already automate most of the mechanical work; your job is to be the human who runs the function: keeps the numbers true, sees problems coming,
and makes recommendations on what to buy, when, and how to ship it.
Core responsibilities
Inventory
- Own the inventory ledger: record costs against units sold, keep COGS accurate, and run the monthly inventory close
- Run reconciliations: physical/warehouse counts vs. system, ledger vs. finance balances, supplier invoices vs. receipts — investigate every gap to root cause and post the true-ups
- Verify that every inventory movement (factory transfers, in-transit shipments, receipts, kit assembly) landed correctly in the ledger
Forecasting & planning
- Maintain demand forecasts across D2C, wholesale, and retail channels, including seasonality and kit/component demand
- Produce purchase order recommendations: what to order from the factory, in what quantities and colors, and when — with the reasoning laid out
