Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Google Cloud Platform and AI solutions to join our Americas team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling the backend systems that power complex, AI-driven applications for our enterprise clients in North America.
Based in Argentina, you will act as a core technical pillar for the region, bridging the gap between client requirements and high-performance delivery. You will focus on engineering excellence, specifically in the realms of generative AI and cloud-native architecture, while collaborating with our integral engineering teams in Europe.
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Beyond, you'll:
Develop Core Logic:
Write clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code in Python to support high-scale content platforms and data-intensive applications
Implement AI Solutions: Build and deploy production-grade AI features, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, LLM orchestrations, and Agentic workflows using Vertex AI
Engineer Cloud Infrastructure: Design and configure scalable backend architectures on GCP, utilizing Cloud Run, GKE, and Cloud Functions with a focus on performance and observability
Own Technical Design: Author Technical Design Documents (TDDs) that translate business needs into executable backend blueprints using modern cloud-native patterns
Deploy & Automate: Manage the full lifecycle of your code, from local development to production, leveraging Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and robust CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate Globally: Work closely with US-based product
