KPS Life is seeking an Investigator Payments Lead to join our Clinical Development & Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring payments to clinical trial sites and investigators are processed timely and accurately from startup through study close. You will manage a portfolio of studies and oversee vendor staff performing related services, playing a key role in delivering these essential operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete lifecycle of clinical site payment administration, from protocol review, per-subject cost analysis, payment triggers, and database configuration through startup payments and execution of visit-based payments and invoiceable items.
Lead planning of key activities to ensure systems are configured to meet critical startup milestone payments on schedule.
Assess data collection design to ensure accurate and complete mapping to budget structures and timely payment triggering. Troubleshoot payment failures to minimize delays in site reimbursement.
Provide guidance on configuration of site contracts and budgets in payment systems to ensure alignment with contractual terms and drive necessary updates.
Oversee vendor performance to ensure adherence to investigator payment processes and standards, including timely approval of payments and invoices and resolution of payment queries.
Triage complex technology and process issues involving multiple interdependencies, such as site relationships, budgets, contracts, regulatory requirements, language considerations, tax implications, and currency management.
Review study payment performance to ensure funds flow to sites in accordance with contractual terms. Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure Purchase Orders are active and adequate funding is in place to facilitate timely fund transfers for all approved payments.
