Network Engineer – Level 2 (L2)

Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience

Role Summary:

The L2 Network Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining Cisco network devices, routing

and switching infrastructure, and cloud networking components. This role ensures network performance,

availability, and security while supporting IT operations and incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Cisco routers, switches, and network devices.

• Configure and maintain subnetting, BGP and OSPF routing protocols, high availability,

redundancy, and remote access protocols.

• Manage basic network services including DNS, DHCP, and NTP.

• Support AWS network infrastructure (Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, Direct Connect, NAT

Gateways, Internet Gateways, Site-to-Site VPN).

• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage cloud network infrastructure.

• Ensure network security by understanding firewalls, network perimeters, and segmentation.

• Configure and maintain network monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Netflow Analyzer, PRTG) and

protocols (SNMP, Netflow).





• Monitor cloud networks using AWS CloudWatch, FlowLogs, or equivalent.

• Apply ITSM principles for incident, problem, change, and service request management using

ServiceNow or similar tools.

• Create and maintain network documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

• CCNA certification or equivalent experience.

• Experience in Cisco network device management, routing, and switching.

• Knowledge of cloud networking, AWS infrastructure, and IaC.

• Familiarity with network security principles.

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• English B2+.

Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience
