Accounting Manager

Snapshot of Curvion Blue

Curvion Blue is a high-performance RevOps and sales augmentation company that helps businesses build and operate better revenue engines. Behind every strong revenue operation is strong financial visibility, and that’s where our accounting team comes in.

We work with multiple businesses and clients, which means our accounting team operates in a multi-company environment.

Our Accounting

Managers aren't responsible for just one set of books, one leadership team, or one monthly close. They are managing multiple clients, priorities, deadlines, accounting systems, and stakeholders at the same time.

That environment requires more than strong accounting fundamentals. It requires organization, judgment, communication, ownership, and the ability to keep a lot of moving pieces moving in the right direction.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager who can own the accounting function across multiple assigned clients while leading and developing Staff Accountants.

This is a hands-on accounting leadership role. You’ll oversee day-to-day accounting activity, review Staff Accountant work, manage month-end close, review financial statements, maintain accounting controls, identify issues, and work closely with Controllers to ensure they have accurate and reliable financial information.

Experience managing accounting for multiple companies at once is extremely important for this role.

The adecuado candidate has worked in a fractional accounting, outsourced accounting, public accounting, CAS, accounting firm, or similar multi-client environment where managing several sets of books simultaneously was part of the normal workflow.

You should be comfortable jumping between different businesses, accounting systems, stakeholders, deadlines, and financial situations without losing the plot.

Basically: if you like one set of books, one close calendar, and one predictable workflow, this probably isn't your dream job.

You SHOULD Apply If

You have experience managing accounting for multiple companies or clients simultaneously

You have worked in a fractional, outsourced, public accounting, CAS, accounting firm, or agency environment

You have strong full-cycle accounting experience and understand GAAP-based accrual accounting

You have experience owning or managing month-end close

You have experience reviewing the work of Staff Accountants, Bookkeepers, or other accounting professionals

You can manage competing deadlines across multiple businesses without needing someone to constantly tell you what to do next

You are highly organized and naturally keep track of outstanding items, deadlines, and follow-ups

You are comfortable communicating with Controllers, leadership, clients, and accounting team members

You can identify accounting issues before they become bigger problems

You enjoy coaching and developing accounting professionals

You naturally look for ways to improve processes rather than accepting "that's how we've always done it"

You are comfortable working in multiple accounting systems and learning new tools quickly

You take ownership when something goes wrong and focus on solving the problem rather than assigning blame

You SHOULD NOT Apply If

Your experience has been exclusively within a single company's accounting department and you've never managed multiple companies or clients at once

You need a highly predictable workload with one set of books and one consistent workflow

You prefer purely transactional accounting and don't enjoy reviewing or developing other accountants

You struggle to prioritize when multiple deadlines compete for your attention

You tend to wait for someone else to identify accounting issues before addressing them

You aren't comfortable communicating directly with Controllers, leadership, or clients

You don't enjoy process improvement or building better ways of doing things

You need significant oversight to stay organized and manage your workload

What Success Looks Like

You Own Your Clients

Controllers and stakeholders know they can trust you to stay on top of the accounting for your assigned clients. You know what is happening, what's outstanding, what's coming next, and where there may be a problem.

The Books Are Right

Financial statements are accurate, complete, and properly supported. You don't simply approve the work that comes across your desk. You understand it well enough to catch inconsistencies, ask the right questions, and make sure the numbers tell the right story.

Month-End Doesn't Become Month-End Mayhem

You manage the close process proactively. Deadlines are clear, Staff Accountants know what needs to happen, issues are escalated early, and Controllers aren't finding surprises at the end of the process.

Your Staff Accountants Get Better

You aren't just reviewing work. You're developing people.

Your Staff

Accountants become more technically capable, more independent, and better equipped to take on additional responsibility.

Multiple Clients Don't Break Your Brain

You can move between multiple companies, accounting systems, priorities, and stakeholders while maintaining organization and attention to detail.

This is one of the biggest differentiators for this role.

We aren't looking for someone who can manage one company's accounting really well. We're looking for someone who can manage multiple companies really well.

You Improve the Machine

You identify repetitive problems, inefficient processes, and opportunities for improvement. You don't just work within the system. You help make the system better.

Qualifications

Required

4+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong full-cycle accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting

Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation

Experience reviewing accounting work completed by others

Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Strong written and verbal communication

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently

Highly Preferred

Experience managing multiple companies or clients simultaneously.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

Fractional accounting

Outsourced accounting

Public accounting

Client Accounting Services (CAS)

Accounting firms

Bookkeeping or accounting agencies

Fractional CFO/accounting firms

Multi-entity accounting environments

Managing accounting for multiple small and mid-sized businesses

If you've had 5, 10, or 20 sets of books on your plate at the same time, we want to hear about it.

Bonus Points

Experience working with multiple accounting platforms

Experience with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting systems

Experience managing and developing Staff Accountants

Experience working directly with Controllers or CFOs

Experience building or improving accounting SOPs

Experience with accounting automation and integrations

Experience in a high-growth or rapidly changing environment

Experience supporting clients across different industries The Person We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, highly organized, and comfortable owning a lot of moving pieces at once.

You're the person who can look at a portfolio of clients and immediately know what needs attention, what can wait, and what absolutely cannot fall through the cracks.

You don't need to be chased down for updates. You don't wait until month-end to discover a problem that could have been caught two weeks ago. And when a Staff Accountant makes a mistake, your response isn't just to fix it. You figure out why it happened and how to prevent it from happening again.

Most importantly, you're comfortable operating in a multi-client environment.

Because around here, you're not managing one company's accounting.

You're managing accounting for multiple businesses, while helping the people around you get better at their jobs.

That's the job.
