Position Summary
Delaware Valley Paving is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to safely and efficiently operate rolling equipment during asphalt paving operations.
This position plays a critical role in achieving proper compaction, surface smoothness, and overall pavement quality on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operate asphalt rollers to compact asphalt surfaces to project specifications
Work closely with the paving crew, paver operators, and foreman to ensure proper rolling patterns and timing
Monitor asphalt temperature, mat conditions, and compaction requirements
Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
Maintain consistent rolling speed and overlap to achieve uniform compaction




Follow all job site safety procedures and company policies
Assist with general labor duties as needed to support paving operations
Ensure work meets quality standards and project timelines
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior experience operating asphalt rollers preferred
Knowledge of asphalt paving and compaction techniques
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work long hours, including overtime, during the paving season
