About the role

We're hiring a
Business Analyst

to build and maintain the financial and reporting infrastructure across the SGL Group: its businesses, its investments, and its principals. You'll work directly with the Managing Partner.

This is a broader role than a typical analyst position: it combines investment analysis (pro formas, deal evaluation, due diligence) with hands-on financial operations (budgets, expense tracking, monthly reporting).



You'll become the person who always knows where the numbers stand.

This is a
part-time contractor role

(~30 hrs/week as a versátil target), ideal for someone who wants meaningful ownership with flexible scheduling. Workload varies, some weeks are intense, others quieter. Standing meetings include a weekly finance meeting and a monthly investment meeting.

What you'll be doing

Budget & financial operations
- Build and track budgets for the businesses in the SGL Group and its principals
- Track current and expected expenses in QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly reporting — clear figures and illustrative graphs (YTD, Budget, YoY) — and present at the monthly meeting

Investment tracking & reporting
- Keep every existing investment comprehensively reflected in the portfolio platform (prospectus, deck, pro forma, quarterly/annual updates)
- Track money in/out, capital calls, appreciation, and th
