The Role We’re looking for a backend engineer to own Fundable’s core data products from architecture through production.

The role centers on building new customer-facing APIs, AI services, and a native workflow builder.

This is a high-autonomy role for someone who can work directly with Fundable’s founders to make architectural decisions and own end-to-end product implementation.

What You’ll Own API Development Lead the development of our new external API from end-to-end.

Design the API: research industry-leading APIs and problem solve with founders on the final OpenAPI spec.

Decide where to host and which frameworks to leverage.





Implement and deploy optimized SQL queries that support dynamic filtering. AI Microservices Build, deploy, and test agentic microservices that convert natural language / free-text queries into deterministic filters / permalinks.

Modernize Fundable MCP to leverage updated API routes and implement customer‑scoped authentication and auditable credit charging.

Workflow Builder Build Fundable’s workflow product end-to-end, similar to n8n, so customers can create recurring automations using Fundable data.

Define the workflow schema, execution model, and deployment architecture with founders.

Implement scheduling, execution, persistence, retries, deduplication, and integration suite.
