The SAP S/4HANA Global Trade Services Consultant (Analyst) will support the implementation, rollout, and stabilization of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) solutions as part of the global S/4HANA delivery model.

The role focuses on international trade compliance processes including customs management, export/import controls, and trade documentation, working within a template‑driven, fit‑to‑standard approach to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across multiple regions.

The consultant will collaborate closely with process leads, architects, and offshore/onshore teams to configure, test, and deploy GTS capabilities aligned to global template standards.

Key Responsibilities SAP GTS Functional Delivery

Configure and support SAP GTS processes aligned to the global template, including:

- Northbound Process (Export from Mexico to US/Canada)
- Southbound Process (Import to Mexico from US/Canada)
- HTS Classification data management and maintenance
- Customs product and legal control data
- Delivery support and customs clearance coordination
- Proforma Invoice and commercial documentation
- Integration between S/4HANA, ECC, and GTS systems
- Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening
- License and permit management
- Customs declaration and duty calculation

Trade Compliance Execution

Configure and support trade compliance screening and blocking processes

Support end‑user execution scenarios including customs processing and documentation generation

Assist in GTS data validation during UAT and go‑live readiness

Template Adoption

Apply fit‑to‑standard principles, minimizing customization and leveraging standard SAP GTS capabilities

Support template governance by identifying deviations and documenting functional gaps

Participate in cross‑site knowledge sharing to ensure consistent process adoption across geographies

Testing, Cutover, and Go‑Live

Prepare and execute:

- Functional Unit Testing (FUT)
- System Integration Testing (SIT)




- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Support cutover activities including master data validation and GTS configuration setup

Provide hypercare and post‑go‑live stabilization support

Collaboration and Documentation

Work closely with:

- GTS process leads and architects
- MM, SD, and FI integration teams
- Customs brokers and trade compliance teams

Create and maintain documentation, including:

- Functional specs and configuration rationale
- Test scripts and defect resolution logs
- End‑user training materials and SOPs

Required Skills and Experience SAP & Functional Skills

- Hands‑on experience with SAP GTS or trade compliance solutions
- Strong knowledge of global trade processes:
- Import and Export compliance
- HTS Classification and customs data
- Trade documentation and customs clearance

Experience with US-Mexico-Canada trade regulations (USMCA)

Understanding of integration points with SD, MM, and FI

Experience with customs brokerage or trade compliance in manufacturing/distribution is a plus

Delivery & Consulting Skills

- Exposure to global SAP rollout programs or template‑based implementations
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in nearshore / offshore delivery models
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid SAP delivery environments is a plus

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field

SAP GTS certification or customs broker license is preferred

Fluent Spanish (required)
