Description Of Work This is one of seven Prevention Specialist Positions under the direction of the Section Chief for Child and Family Services that collectively drive North Carolina's Implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), one of the most sweeping and complex pieces of federal child welfare reform legislation in decades.





They will also be accountable for ensuring that the overall implementation effort is timely, fiscally sound, and aligned with the Department's strategic vision for the child welfare program as well as ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders are actively engaged throughout the process.

The Regional Preventions Services Specialist position will be regionally deployed and work directly with the county Department of Social Services in building a regional services network and referral processing for the implementation of a comprehensive prevention system.
