The Human Resources Generalist assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources function and duties. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruiting, payroll, benefits, and policy administration. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and duties and responsibilities listed below will be performed alone and/or by assisting the HR Manager as required
0-2 years progressive Human Resources experience Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Basic knowledge of U.S. Labor Laws and EEOC practices. (i.e. FMLA, FLSA) University Degree required Must have the ability to make recommendation to effective resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law. Communicate well (verbal and written) and respectfully to all levels of employees Dependable, organized and adaptable to change Reliable self-starter able to establish priorities and organize workload on a daily basis with minimal direction Good interpersonal skills, and be able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities Ability to work well under pressure A team spirit and cooperative attitude Trustworthy and confidential Seeking continued professional growth and development Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS PHR, SPHR or GPHR Certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS Note, the physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Demonstrate working knowledge of training, human resource technology, and employee relations Demonstrate human resources technical expertise in the application of state and federal employment law, wage and hour law, recruiting, benefits and compensation, and termination of employment Answer HR � related questions for Houston employees and refer employees to HR Manager as appropriate Facilitate HR-related requests Act as a focal point for employees payroll inquiries Prepare Upload Matrix for: Retro-active pay, pay adjustment, home leave allowance and special timesheets as needed Research and rectify issues identified on the payroll exception reports Act as a focal point for benefits inquires, answering all benefits queries and seeking assistance as needed Assist employees and Area HR in submitting Benefits queries through appropriate channel(s)
Assist in recruitment, selection and hiring process to find highly qualified and motivated candidates at all levels of the organization Liaison with Recruitment for experienced individuals seeking work Creation of Exempt and Non-exempt employment offers Responsible for managing the process of Onboarding and exit of employees Conduct exit interviews, analyzes data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement Responsible for answering unemployment claims Responsible for maintaining an efficient filing system for employee records, ensure that all employee files meet documentation requirements as well as participate in regular audits of personnel files to ensure compliance with documentation requirements Maintain confidentiality for all HR-related issues Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nabors Corporate Policies and Quality Management System Recommend ideas for HR procedural and policy improvements Assist with projects as needed or requested by HR Manager or VP- HR Understands HR policies and procedures and can answer policy inquiries from Area HR staff, managers or employees Other duties as assigned
