We are seeking an Automation & Rationalization Engineer Specialist to support an Alarm Management Engineering Project within the Oil & Gas industry. This role will focus on SCADA administration, alarm rationalization, and alarm optimization, helping improve operational safety, reliability, and efficiency across industrial facilities.

‍ Key Responsibilities

- Configure, administer, and maintain SCADA systems.

- Perform alarm rationalization activities and optimize alarm configuration and logic.

- Support alarm management initiatives in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

- Analyze and troubleshoot automation and control system issues.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and engineering records.

Must Have Skills

- Experience configuring and administering SCADA systems.

- Experience with Alarm Rationalization and/or Alarm Management projects.

- Knowledge of industrial automation, process control, or control systems.

- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.

- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

- Availability to travel to Santa Cruz approximately once a month for 2–3 days.

Nice to Have Skills

- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

- Knowledge of alarm management standards such as ISA-18.2 and/or IEC 62682.

- Experience with industrial software platforms such as AVEVA PI System, Ignition, Kepware, or similar.





- Relevant certifications (AVEVA Application Developer, AVEVA PI Infrastructure Specialist, Ignition Certified, Kepware Associate Certification, or equivalent).

- Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
