Position Overview As a School-Based Speech Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students’ overall success and well-being in the school environment.

Elementary school and high school; start with a 40-student caseload with potential to do hybrid positions (in-person combined with virtual) Responsibilities - The Speech Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and assessments to identify students’ communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based speech and pathology interventions and strategies to improve students’ communication, articulation, fluency, and skills.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students’ participation in the classroom and social activities.
- Monitor and document students’ progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers,
and support staff on strategies to enhance students’ communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
- Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-pathology.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-pathology services in schools.
Qualifications - Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure as a Speech-Pathologist. (if applicable) - Educator Certificate (if applicable) - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in private practice or outpatient settings.
- Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus.
- Dedication to providing culturally competent and client-centered care.
