Retail Sales Rep. - Sacramento location This position is a 100% in the field role.
A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required.
Candidates will gain and develop sales skills, customer‐facing interactions, and relationship management and cultivation.
Proficiency in these areas will be essential for success in broader and more advanced sales roles within USG.
Location and Additional Details
Candidate will live in or near the Sacramento, CA metro area.
Candidate will be responsible for the Sacramento and Bay Area markets.
Location flexibility is at the sole discretion of the hiring manager.
Relocation assistance is at the sole discretion of the hiring manager.
Bi‐lingual candidates preferred.
Up to 25% bonus (25% of base salary) based on personal, territory, and company performance.
USG will provide a vehicle, gas card, maintenance costs, insurance, and tolls.
USG will provide a cell phone, laptop, and expensive card.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Build strong business relationships with all levels of management, contractor sales teams, and associates in the retail centers within the assigned geography.
Increase sales by coordinating and executing training with store associates and service teams on USG products, thus boosting name recognition, product knowledge, and USG loyalty.
Maximize product availability in the aisle by using sales analytics and training store associates on inventory management and ordering processes.
Maximize sales potential and brand loyalty through daily in‐aisle product demos focused on the end user.
Work with the marketing team to actively promote USG products in the big‐box stores.
Actively seek new and innovative ways to promote USG products in line with organizational goals.
Key Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field, required.
Travel Requirements:



Up to 25% overnight travel.
Travel to, but not limited to, assigned market territory on a daily basis while managing the respective market.
Valid driver's license.
Required Skills: Strong business acumen and professionalism; strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation, professional selling, and conflict resolution; strong relationship building skills with a diverse group; excellent public speaking for product training; self‐motivated with a focus on exceeding targets; effective and independent time management; ability to set and self‐manage priorities; sense of urgency and high customer focus; creative problem solving, agility and resourcefulness; attention to detail; professional appearance; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience: Familiarity with construction products and processes; ability to manage a territory with multiple customers; Salesforce.com exposure/experience.
Midpoint may be adjusted based on candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
