Job Summary

Associate Data Protection professional at PwC Acceleration Center Buenos Aires.

Work with integral teams in Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Business Services to advise clients on privacy laws, data protection regulations, and cybersecurity practices.

Help design, implement, and optimize privacy and data protection solutions across cloud, SaaS, and on‑premises environments.

Responsibilities

- Support implementation and ongoing optimization of data protection technologies (data classification, encryption, Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Purview Information Protection).

- Assist with data discovery, classification, and risk analysis using DSPM platforms such as Cyera and Varonis.

- Contribute to incident response and data protection governance, including data breach assessments and maintenance of policies, procedures, and secure-by-design controls.

- Collaborate with clients and team members to address cybersecurity and privacy challenges.

- Engage in information security and data breach investigations to protect client data.

- Provide strategic guidance on privacy laws and data protection regulations to clients across various industries.

- Assist in the development and implementation of privacy policies and data protection measures.

- Conduct privacy impact assessments to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

- Apply analytical skills to discern patterns and analyze facts for informed decision-making.





- Support the development of privacy programs and records‑management policies to enhance data protection strategies.

Requirements

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

- Proven foundational knowledge of data protection technologies and concepts, with exposure to tools such as Microsoft Purview.

- Solid understanding of core data security, privacy, and cloud risk concepts.

- Oral and written proficiency in English.

- Client‑service orientation and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with DSPM tools (Cyera, Varonis) through projects, labs, or internships.

- Exposure to emerging topics such as GenAI security, AI governance, or automation (e.g., Power Automate).

- Knowledge of privacy and data governance platforms (OneTrust, Securiti AI, BigID, Collibra).

- Understanding of Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy Compliance.

- Familiarity with Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

- Experience in cybersecurity and data breach management.

- Knowledge of legal data protection and regulatory compliance consulting.
