On behalf of public and private institutions, we plan, implement, and evaluate projects across Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Project Lead for a Trading Project in Argentina (m/f/d), starting in September/October 2026. The project's thematic focus is on agribusiness, agricultural trade (with a particular emphasis on the EU-Mercosur Agreement), and international economic cooperation.

Your profile: Minimum requirements (mandatory):

- University degree (Master's or equivalent)
- At least 10 years of professional experience
- Proven experience managing international projects
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Good written and spoken Spanish

Preferred qualifications and experience:

- Academic background in economics, agricultural economics, agricultural sciences, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in agribusiness, agricultural marketing, export promotion, foreign trade, or international agricultural trade
- Sound knowledge of international agricultural markets and trade agreements, particularly the EU-Mercosur Agreement and its implications for the agri-food sector
- Demonstrated ability to establish and promote business and scientific cooperation,



ideally with proven experience in initiating and facilitating business, investment, and innovation partnerships
- Ability to identify market opportunities for the German agri-food sector and translate them into concrete cooperation, investment, or business opportunities
- Strong knowledge of and established professional networks within the German agri-food sector, including relevant industry associations, companies, research institutions, and stakeholders in both wholesale and retail trade
- Experience working with private-sector companies, business associations, government institutions, and political decision-makers
- Proven experience in promoting international economic cooperation and facilitating business partnerships between German and international stakeholders
- Several years of experience leading complex projects
- Familiarity with financial reporting procedures, administrative processes, and regulations related to publicly funded projects, or willingness to acquire this knowledge
- Several years of professional or project experience in South America, preferably in the agri-food sector and in cooperation with public institutions and private-sector stakeholders
- Knowledge of bioeconomy, sustainable agriculture and forestry, organic farming, deforestation-free supply chains (EUDR), or related fields is considered an asset
