Our client is a general animal‑health technology and services leader dedicated to empowering veterinary practice partners to drive improved health and financial outcomes. The Data Platform team is on a mission to build and operate a governed, analytics‑ready data platform that ingests operational data, applies shared business rules, and serves as a trusted source of truth to customer‑facing and internal reporting. This hands‑on role contributes across the entire lakehouse architecture—from ingestion through dimensional modeling to consumption‑ready facts and dimensions—delivering reliable, well‑tested data products alongside senior engineers to support the organization’s strategic goals.

Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science,



or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of data engineering experience, including hands‑on work on production data pipelines. In lieu of a degree, a combined 7 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in data engineering.
- Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proficient SQL (window functions, MERGE/upsert patterns, incremental processing).
- Proficiency in Python for data ingestion, orchestration, and pipeline tooling.
- Hands‑on experience with Apache Spark and Delta Lake (or comparable distributed/lakehouse technology).
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, slowly‑changing dimensions) and broader data‑modeling fundamentals.
