Summary of Job Duties

UAMS Family Medical Center in Fort Smith is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team. This role supports all sections of the Clinical Outpatient Laboratory through proper phlebotomy techniques as well as proper specimen accessioning, processing,



and related activities. As a PRN staff member, you will have the opportunity to work a versátil schedule, providing essential healthcare services to the community. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology, excellent communication and customer service skills, and a strong attention to detail. Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- The Phlebotomist supports all sections of the Clinical Outpatient Laboratory through proper phlebotomy techniques as well as proper specimen accessioning, processing, and related activities.
- Use of correct blood collection tubes, ordering correct test from requisitions.
- Match identifiers to information on requisition and labels.
- Obtain blood from patient using proper phlebotomy techniques for clinical or medical testing, transfusions, donation, or research.
